Lyon Workforce Academy

The General William Lyon Workforce Academy (LWA) offers young adults the opportunity to an exciting career path through an apprenticeship program in construction and related building trades. As an apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience during a one-year paid training program with one of our corporate partners!

AS AN APPRENTICE, YOU WILL HAVE ACCESS TO:

1. One-on-one employment coaching and counseling
2. Job-readiness workshops including resume preparation and interview practice
3. Transportation assistance
4. Clothing assistance
5. Financial support for basic needs for your first month on the job

Eligibility Requirements:

1. 18-25 years of age
2. At least 6 months of work experience
3. No active drug use
4. High School Diploma or equivalent
5. Eligible to work in the U.S.

Expectations:

1. Meet with your Youth Employment Specialist weekly for check-ins
2. 1 year commitment
3. Complete Workshops
